ADHD Neurodivergent Support Groups for Adults

What to Expect

A semi-structured, neurodivergent-affirming group for adults navigating ADHD, burnout, and patterns that feel hard to shift.

This group focuses on practical skills, understanding how your brain works, and building systems that actually fit your day-to-day life. There is also space to talk through real-life challenges, feel seen, and connect with others who get it, without having to constantly explain yourself.

It’s not just about what isn’t going well. There’s room to laugh, talk about hyperfocuses and things you’re excited about, and build a sense of community alongside the work we’re doing.

Who is this for?

This group may be a good fit if you:

  • feel overwhelmed by everyday tasks

  • struggle with follow-through or consistency

  • feel stuck in cycles of burnout or shutdown

  • find yourself masking or overcompensating

  • want support that actually makes sense for how your brain works

What we will focus on
  • ADHD & executive functioning

  • burnout, masking, and shame cycles

  • nervous system awareness and regulation

  • practical tools that work in real life

  • identifying strengths and building sustainable systems

  • Mondays or Thursdays at 6 PM

  • 1-hour virtual sessions (Colorado only)

  • Small group (6–10 participants)

Week One

Understanding Your Brain & Reducing Shame

This week focuses on making sense of how your brain actually works. We’ll look at executive functioning, attention, and why things like inconsistency or overwhelm happen, especially in environments that aren’t built for you.

The goal isn’t to “fix” anything, but to start shifting from self-blame to understanding. We’ll also begin identifying patterns that show up in your day-to-day life.

Week Two

Executive Function in Real Life

This week is about how executive functioning actually shows up outside of theory, things like starting tasks, following through, time awareness, and decision fatigue.

We’ll focus on practical strategies that are flexible and realistic, not rigid systems that fall apart after a few days. The goal is to experiment with tools that actually fit your life and capacity.

Week Three

Burnout, Shame, & Why the Cycle Repeats

This week focuses on the cycle many people get stuck in: trying harder, getting overwhelmed, shutting down, and then feeling shame.

We’ll look at how burnout builds over time, how masking and overcompensating play a role, and what’s happening in your nervous system during those shifts. The goal is to start recognizing the cycle earlier and interrupt it in more sustainable ways.

Week Four

Building Systems That Actually Work

This week brings everything together. We’ll focus on building systems and supports that are realistic, flexible, and based on your actual patterns, not what “should” work.

This includes looking at energy, capacity, environment, and support. The goal is not perfection, but creating something that feels more manageable and sustainable over time.
